David Gilberts is CEO and Virtual Chief Security Officer (vCSO) at Gilberts Convergence.

I began my career in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) as a Communications Officer (Captain) where I held a top secret security clearance and managed a team of 300+ Marines responsible for securing physical locations, data, Internet, and voice networks and systems throughout Southeast Asia in support of the 30,000+ Marines in the 3d Marine Division.

Since serving in the Marine Corps, I have continued to focus on helping my clients improve their cyber and physical security programs in positions at Allied Universal Security, AT&T, CERFnet, Electric Lightwave, Inc. (ELI, now Zayo), Gilberts Communications, Infonet (BT), MCI, MIS Security, Novacoast, Level 3 & Qwest (Lumen), Optiv, Patrol Solutions, Spectrum Enterprise, STV, SubRosa Cyber, XO, TCG, and TDS Telecom.

I have 30+ years of experience focused on creating cyber and physical security solutions that address unique client business, technical, and legal challenges and continuously stay abreast of market and technological developments that may affect my clients’ interests.
